What Is Covered ?
 

The following listed components and labour costs are covered against mechanical breakdown provided that the terms and conditions of the warranty are complied with.

Each claim will include parts and labour inclusive of VAT to a maximum described in the proposal form, per claim. There are no limits to the number of claims during the warranty period.

A mechanical breakdown is defined as 'the failure of a component for reasons other than normal deterioration or wear and tear, causing the stoppage of its function'.

You are also entitled to FREE accident advice and legal assistance when you are involved in a road traffic accident that is not your fault.

 

Engine

Failure of the following parts:- Oil pump, flywheel, starter ring gear, timing gear and chains (excluding external timing belts); crankshaft and bearings; camshaft pulleys, camshaft, cam followers, tappet gears, rocker shaft, rockers, hydraulic lifters, valves and guides; pistons and rings, cylinder bores, con rods, cylinder head, cylinder head gasket, distributor drive and all internal bushings; gudgeon pins, small end bearings. (Excluding overheating, de-coking, burnt, pitted and sticking valves).

 

Transmission
   

Manual:

The following internal mechanical components are covered: Gears and gear clusters, selectors and shafts, synchromesh assemblies, bushes, ball and roller bearings, needle bearings. (Including transfer gears where separate premium received).

Automatic:

The following internal mechanical components are covered: Mechanical or hydraulic governor, valve block, oil pump, brake bands, servos, clutches, seals, shafts, bearings and bushes, gears. (Excluding transfer gears, CTX/CVT transmissions).

 

Torque Converter

All internal mechanical components and seals.

Working Materials

Should any repair to components require essential replacing or topping-up of coolants, oils or lubricants these will constitute part of the repair.

Casings

Any damage to casings which include engine, gearbox, and final drive casings are covered providing they have been damaged as a result of one of any of the covered parts failing.

Differentials

Differentials or drive-line including planetary gear assembly, crown wheel and pinion assembly, bearings and bushes, internal and external shafts, thrust washers, spacers, bevel gears, universal joints and CV joints. (Excluding rubber boots).

Intermediate Cover
 

Includes all of the Standard Cover items plus the following:

 

Cooling System

Failure of radiator, engine thermostat, thermostat housing, water pump, viscous fan unit.

Electrical System

Failure of the following parts: starter motor, starter solenoid, alternator, regulator, windscreen wiper motors, headlamp wiper motor, electric window motors, indicator unit.

ECU

Failure of computers, solenoids, relays and switches.

Brake Master Cylinder

Failure of component parts, seals and reservoir.

Drive Shafts

Failure of the following components: drive shafts, couplings, half shafts and seals.

Propshaft

Failure of the following components: propshaft, universal joints, bearings and seals.

Steering Rack (not power assisted)

Failure of rack and pinion, steering box, idler box.

Premier Cover
 

Includes all of the Standard and Intermediate Cover items plus the following:

 

Clutch

Failure of clutch plate, clutch cover, clutch fork and pivot, thrust bearing, clutch slave cylinder, (including failure due to contamination, but not normal wear and tear).

Brake Callipers

Brake callipers, wheel cylinders, brake bias/restrictor valve.

Wheel Bearings

Failure of bearings and seals.

Power Steering

Power assisted steering, steering rack and pinion, steering box, idler box, steering pump, pressure pipes, reservoir, rubbers, boots, swivel pins.

Ignition System

(Electronic and non-electronic), points, condenser, distributor, rotor, ignition coil and control box.

Coil Springs

Breakage of spring.

Injection and Carburettor

Fuel lift pump (mechanical and electric), petrol injection pump, carburettor and chokes.

ABS System

Failure of system.

Air Conditioning

Failure of system (not lack of gas/fluid).

Courtesy Car or Hire Car

In the event that any repair to your vehicle exceeds 24 hours you will be provided with a courtesy car for a maximum of 7 days. If no courtesy car is available a maximum of £25 a day including VAT will be reimbursed in the event of a valid claim under the warranty. (This does not apply to imported vehicles).

ULTIMA COVER
 

This warranty is applicable to vehicles less than 5 years old and have covered less than 60,000 miles at time of issue.

 

Any mechanical or electrical component and labour costs are covered against mechanical breakdown, provided that the terms and conditions or the warranty are complied with. Each claim will include parts and labour inclusive of VAT to a maximum described in the proposal form, per claim. There are no limits to the amount of claims during the Warranty period.

    Additional Benefits At Extra Premium
     

    The following items may be added to Standard, Intermediate or Premier Cover warranties at additional premium:

     

    Turbo Unit (where factory fitted)

    The complete turbo unit is covered, including wastegate where it is an integral part of the unit and cannot be bought separately. The turbo unit must be original manufacture specification.

    Traction Control

    Failure of system.

    4x4 System

    Transfer box, transfer gears, selectors, shafts, transfer shafts, bearings, output shafts and bushes, prop shafts, universal joints.
